Simple Doga (yoga with your dog)

Boy and I started teaching Doga together this past summer. Although a yogi for many years, I hadn’t taken the time to do yoga with my dog until recently. We sure do enjoy it. I was very surprised that Boy and I (we’ve been together for nearly 12 weeks), could grow an even deeper bond, but we have! Doga has all the benefits of yoga for you and your dog like promoting relaxation, flexibility, lower blood pressure, and so much more.

Michelle’s Dogi Rules:

  • Always keep in touch with your dog in every position whether that’s your hand, your side (when lying on the floor, for example), or even a foot. The bond is being shared and trust is being build.
  • Pay attention to your body. Because you practicing yoga with your dog you will more than likely not have perfect form so listen to your body (for bad pain).
  • Have fun!

Why not try it? Here are a few simple poses for you and your dog to enjoy.
